Memoirs of Roberts' life and work, in particularly his career as a librarian with the U.S. Department of the Interior, 1939-1978, and the U.S. Department of Labor, 1978-1988; includes copies of documents issued by both departments concerning his employment, 1939-1987. Opening pages include brief discussion of Roberts' life in Columbia, including mention of a "student strike" during his time at Benedict, due to such student concerns as quality of meals at the dining hall, and separation of students by gender on tennis courts and in certain classes.
