Richard Theodore Greener (January 30, 1844 – May 2, 1922) was the first African American graduate of Harvard College and went on to become the dean of the Howard University School of Law. Richard Greener was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1844 and moved with his mother to Boston when he was approximately nine years old.
