Dorothy M. Crosland was born in 1903 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. She attended the Carnegie Library School of Atlanta, Georgia and earned her degree in 1923. She joined the staff of the Georgia Institute of Technology Library in 1925 as Assistant Librarian. In 1927 she was appointed Librarian, a position she held until 1953 when her title was changed to Director of Libraries. She retired from Georgia Tech in 1971. From the description of Dorothy M.
