Research material compiled by Gerald M. Kelly on the genealogy of the Wheelwright family and the capture of Esther Wheelwright and others by Native Americans during the 1700s, compiled between the 1950s and 1990s. Includes correspondence with living members of the Wheelwright family, nuns at the Ursuline Convent in Quebec regarding Esther Wheelwright, and various archival repositories regarding sources. Also includes handwritten research notes; and a typescript of an article written by Kelly entitled, "Thy hand shall lead me : the story of Esther Wheelwright."
