Correspondence, clippings, telegrams, and invitations received and sent by Delano (1947-1954) in his capacity as president of the Art Commission of the City of New York. Materials pertain to such matters as alterations to the Brooklyn Bridge, attempts to preserve Castle Clinton and other historic sites, selection of street signs, lighting of Park Avenue, renovation of the City Hall exterior, and selection of designs for municipal buildings.
