These one-of-a-kind posters and broadsides document local events and organizations, as well as local and national groups involved in the Chicano Movement in San Diego, including the Chicano Federation of San Diego County, Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, and the Committee on Chicano Rights, Inc. Major topical themes of the posters include education, celebrations and special events, heritage and pride, conferences, demonstrations and protests, art, the Chicana movement, organizations, propaganda and slogans, fundraisers, and theater and performing arts.
