In this recording Pat Gotchall describes her friendship with Evelyn Wolcott during her college and graduate school years. It includes descriptions of birding, mushroom and other wild plant collecting, and mountain climbing trips taken by them and their friends. Also included are discussions of Evelyn's extensive gardens, her beeyards, and of Evelyn herself, as a knowledgeable teacher of practical skills and a person of great hospitality and spirituality.
