Manuscript volume with a printed title page issued by cooking teacher Edward Kidder. Compiled for Kidder's students to write recipes and directions in, this particular volume was written in by Amphillis Dewe Whitfield. Most of the volume is filled in her neat, uniform hand, but there are several pages at the end of the volume and some recipes pasted on the front free endpaper, that appear to be in a different hand.
