Newfoundland Land Co. and St. Croix Co. papers, 1807-1833.

A Mark Twain scrapbook filled with documents from the collection of Col. William Bull of Old Saybrook. The papers relate to the Newfoundland Land Company and St. Croix Company between 1807 and 1833. Both companies are also called Fish Places. Among the owners are William Bull, William Denison III and Mary Denison, Barnabas, Rebecca, and Ann Bates, Asa and Emily King, Richard Williams, William C. Bull, Jared Pratt, John Bull II, John Bull, and Zephaniah Pratt. The papers also show the location, accounts of shad, knitting and stringing seines, cooperage, salting, boats and rigging.
