Contains information pertaining to the following military units and organizations: 2nd Michigan National Guard Infantry Regiment; 10th, 11th, and 22nd U.S. Cavalry Regiments; 82nd Infantry Division; Mexican Punitive Expedition; First Army; Graves Registration Service; VIII Corps Area; Army War College; Norwich Military Academy. General description of the collection: Kromer papers include personal and official papers relating to Kromer's military career (1894-1938) and his return to active duty (1941); correspondence and official reports and his returns, speeches, clippings, book reviews, historical writings, orders announcing promotions, and leaves of absence. Most pieces relate to his career but one account concerns operations of 10th Cavalry to stop civil disorder among some Mexicans in Laredo (March 1899).
