Solomon photographs, ca. 1890-1899.

Summary: Black-and-white photographs of the town of Solomonville, Phoenix, Florence and friends and family in the 1890s in Arizona. Photographs of Solomonville include the adobe courthouse, hospital, and Catholic Church and the interior of Isidore Solomon's store. Camp Arcadia, in the Graham Mountains, where Solomon had a cabin, is also represented. Various images of Native American ruins in Casa Grande and Bonita Canyon, as well as shots of buildings in Florence and Phoenix. Photographs of people include the Goldberg family, Tuttle family, Charles F. Solomon, and William B. Kelly, newspaper publisher. There are also images of Bailey's Wells, the Casa Grande ruins, Jacobsens sawmill, and pictographs. One image of Charles Solomon shows him on a rooftop with his camera on a tripod.

Biographical note: Merchant, born in Posen, Germany, Isidore E. Solomon came to Arizona and in 1877 appropriated 40-acres of land in Graham County, where he opened a store.
