Joel Stone account book, 1797-1836.

This account book is attributed to Joel Stone, a Litchfield, Connecticut native. Stone opposed the Revolutionary War, and eventually moved to Canada. Despite the distance, he maintained ties with his family in Connecticut. The entries in this volume relate to farm work and the production of mens and womens shoes. Several of the names in the book, including Abijah Bennett, Nathan Peet, and Ellis Sweetlove, lived in Litchfield County.
