Negative taken os postcard of Saint Bartholomew's Church, located at 1624 Marshall Street in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas. St. Bartholomew's Church was founded in Little Rock for African Americans by Bishop John B. Morris about 1910 at Gaines Street and 8th Avenue in Little Rock. The St. Bartholomew's School was founded two years later than the church in about 1912, at which time the school and the church were both located at 1615 Marshall Street. The school was operated by the Society of the Divine Word. The high school department of St. Bartholomew's closed by 1972. St. Bartholomew's School completely closed in the spring of 1976. As of 2001, the St. Bartholomew's Church is located at 1622 Marshall Street.
