Negative taken Pastor and first three graduates from the new Good Shepherds School in Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas in 1949. The Good Shepherd School and Church were founded primarily for African Americans under the administration of Father Anthony Lachowsky, pastor from 1934-1950 of the St. Joseph Parish in Conway. By 1955, the Good Shepherd parish had a school staffed by three Benedictine Sisters from Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas and a convent was built for the nuns. In the spring of 1965, Good Shepherd School closed.
