Studio photograph of Pearl Polk Murphy (b. 1895) who lived at Muddy Fork, Howard County, Arkansas. Pearl Polk was the daughter of Charles (1872-ca. 1900) and Alice Polk (1875-1900). Pearl Polk married Patrick Henry Murphy in 1916, with whom she had four children: John Brown Murphy (b. 1919), Mary Ellen Murphy Jackson (b. 1921), Maxine Murphy City (b. 1925), and Patrick Henry Murphy, Jr. (b. 1933).
