John Paul Ratay was a United States Army officer who served in the field artillery in France during World War I. He later served as a military attacheĢ in Peking and Bucharest and also was stationed in Berlin. During pre-World War II (WWII) period he was a representative of the Historical Section, Army War College. He saw a tour in the Mideast in 1942.
