This portion of the collection contains a receipt from the town of Johnston to Hannah Toss for keeping Mary Cesar for ten weeks while lying in in December 1770, dated 13 April 1772; receipt for shirt purchased from Mrs. C. Handy, custom shirt manufacturer, Providence, RI, 10 December 1874; receipt from New Haven and Derby Railroad to Mrs. B. Crofutt for making four ball covers for signal at Derby Junction [Conn.], 4 January 1889; receipt for brushes bought from Mrs. Amanda Hartman, manufacturer of brushes, East Berlin, Pa., 8 April 1903. Also, card announcing Easter exhibit of millinery, waists, and coats at Louise & Co., New York City; and Laszlo Schwartz, manager of Helen Ware, violinist, letter to Leon Lowengard, Harrisburg, Pa., 29 May 1916, arranging Pennsylvania concert dates.
