Henry discusses Markhams account. He tells Edwin he has left to very important interests behind his own house Arden and Markham Poetry House since he has been at the State Teachers College. He dicusses Markham House and painting it. He refers to Mr Mulholland who worked on the house and Senator Phelan who will pay for it. Miss Ware will keep up the $16.00 rent. Films of Markham's dedeication will be shown. Henry is writting an article for the Oakland Tribune about the writers of California including Gertrude Anthertore, Ina Coolbrith, and Edith Daley. He is still working on Life of Joaquin and a poem The Keeper of the Sheep. He sent his Coolbrith Story to the SSC Magazine. He wants Markham to draw up a letter to thank Senator Phelan.

California poet. Raised near Vacaville, became a schoolteacher in Coloma and later in Oakland.
