Oral history project sponsored by South Kingstown High School and the Rhode Island Committee for the Humanities, conducted in 1977 under the direction of Linda Wood and Judith Preble, school librarian and English teacher respectively. Students interviewed seventy Rhode Islanders who witnessed and survived the Hurricane of 1938. Sixty-five of these interviews are in this collection. Twenty-five of the interviews were transcribed and published in 1977 in a book entitled, In the Wake of '38. ...
