Carte de visite of Leeman G. Heusted, Sergeant, Company I, Third Michigan Cavalry, Veteran Volunteers. Huested, a resident of Oakland County, Michigan, was 21 years of age when he enlisted as a Private on September 19, 1861, at Holly, Michigan. The Third Michigan Cavalry was stationed at De Valls Bluff, Prairie County, Arkansas, the winter of 1864-1865. Heusted survived the Civil War.
