Joab Thomas papers, 1984-1995.

This collection documents Joab Thomas's tenure as 15th president of the Penn State University. The collection contains the president's seal, 1 audiocassette, and 34 videotapes of Thomas acting in his capacity as Penn State's president and includes footage from local news stations, basketball features, the Administration of Justice Program, and interviews. The papers in Thomas's collection include notes from campus committees, alumni, the AT&T-Penn State Partnership, financial records of programs in which Penn State was involved, notes pertaining to meetings about and with the Big Ten, correspondence with individuals and committees, the Pepsi agreement, and speeches made by Thomas.

Joab Langston Thomas was Chancellor of North Carolina State University (1976-1981), President of the University of Alabama (1981-1988), Professor at the University of Alabama (1961-1975), and Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Alabama (1974-1975).
