William Murray Davidson (1821-1894) was a native of Scotland. He served as 2nd Lt. in the Chatham Artillery and later as a captain. Davidson was a wholesale wine and liquor distributor in Savannah, Georgia. His business, W.M. Davidson, was established in 1844 and was still operating in 1874 on Bay Street.
