Alvin Marcus Fountain (1900-1989), was an educator, technical writer, author, and statistician. He was a member of the English faculty at North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering (later North Carolina State University), 1925-1965, and developed courses in technical writing and public speaking for engineering students.
