The Webster Debating Society collection consists meeting minutes from 1910-15 and an undated constitution. There are lists at the back of the minute book detailing members of the executive board. Membership was open to male students in the Academy at Gustavus Adolphus College. Those seeking membership looked to better themselves "in the art of public speaking, debating and parliamentary practice." Members in the Academy's third class formed the organization during 1910. The group might have merged with the Gladstone Oratorical Society.
