This essay, primarily made up of interviews, documents multiple experiences of members of the Latter-day Saint Church during the Communist reign. Page individually interviewed roughly eight Latter-day Saint members who interacted with the Church between the 1940s and 1990s. Some of these members did not join the Church until Communism fell (since baptism was not allowed during the Communist reign); others did prior to the time Communism took all Latter-day Saints handled, or even saw, the Church's situation during Communism the same way. One of the main discussions in this essay is the Secret Police (also known as the State Security), as some of the church members worked with the Secret Police during this time, and others were constantly battling them.
