Innis, Walter Dean

Walter D. Innis was born in 1909. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1932. During WWII, he served in Iceland, in the USS Wasp, and participated in the Aleutians Campaign and the Battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. He was on the NATO staff; was CO, NAS, Corpus Christi, Texas; and graduated from the Naval War College. He retired in 1959 and was a systems analyst for the Navy, 1964-81. He died in 1991.
