Tall case brass dial clock, 1740-1749.

Cherry tall-case clock. The hood has a cove molded flat pediment with an ogee molded center arch, turned three-quarter columns at the front corners, turned quarter columns at the back corners, sidelights with astragal tops, ogee molded arches above the sidelights, and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove molding at the top, and a case door with an astragal top. Base with ogee molding at the top, and ovolo moldings at the bottom. Composite brass dial with applied chapter ring with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, applied seconds dial above the hands, plaque between the winding arbors is engraved "Pearson & Hollinshead Burlington." In the name boss, there is an engraved eagle with the phrase "Tempus Fugit." Below the plaque, there is a calendar aperture. There are engraved fleur-de-lis between the hour numerals. Eight day movement.
