Responding to her letter and mentioning that he has "been very busy on the subject of Education in Ireland, which is one of the Parliamentary faction-fights of the day." Hoping to see her and Mr. Field at Coniston. Describing Oxford (quoting Wordsworth for part), and encouraging them to visit, noting that "a day at Oxford is a day spent in the thirteenth century."
