David Bruce Dill was a preeminent American scientist in the area of human physiology and the environment. He conducted experimental research at high altitude, in the desert, and in context of work / exercise to determine the effect on the human body. Dill held research and teaching appointments at Harvard University (1927-1947), U.S. Army Chemical Research and Development Laboratory (1947-1961), Indiana University (1961-1966) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (1966-1976).
