North Dakota Dept. of Emergency Services Public Information Office photographs, 1976-2009.

Consists of photographs, negatives, ephemera, video footage, and files on CDs. The photographs and negatives are of the State Radio Communications System, floods and other natural disasters in North Dakota, and from the dedication of the State Radio System (which also includes the ephemera). The video footage is of flooding in Fargo, an episode of Rescue 911, North Dakota National Guard films, and an Emergency Management Agency video. The files on the CDs include photographs, photograph descriptions, maps, reports, presentations, documents, correspondence, newspaper clippings, site inspection records, back up of the website, and weather emergency statistics by county. The files document state and national emergencies, including snow, hail, flooding, wind, tornadoes, hurricanes, fires, an airplane crash, and other disasters. Also included are trainings, meetings, conferences and parties held by the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services (NDDES), as well as Presidential Disaster Declarations, exercises, and Preliminary Damage Assessments (PDAs). Groups and individuals include the US Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), state Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), Cub Scouts, North Dakota Department of Transportation (DOT), North Dakota State University (NDSU), Emergency Management, Emergency Management Assessment Program (EMAP), Army Corps of Engineers, and Governor John Hoeven.
