Esther discusses growing up as a minister's daughter in Wisconsin, attending the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse, and working as a masseuse at a downtown La Crosse massage parlor, Sadie's. She describes working conditions, relationships with clients and fellow employees, and the occurrence of prostitution at Sadie's and other massage parlors.
