Autograph letter signed from Joseph Jefferson, Hotel Mirabau, Paris, to William Winter [manuscript], 1873 July 30.

Jefferson mentions his stays in London and Paris. Says he is staying in the same hotel in London where lived "the great Doré," and refers to pencil sketches of the head of Christ with a crown of thorns (possibly a reference to Gustave Doré's illustrated Bible). Addressed "My dear Willie" and signed "Joe."

2 leaves ; 21 x 14 cm.
