Autograph letters signed from Paul Meurice to unidentified recipients, 19th or 20th century.

(1), written in 1886, mentions M. Léon Cavallo (possibly Ruggiero Leoncavallo?), recommended by the recipient. He has just finished rehearsals of Hamlet, but he will be free at the end of next week. (2), undated, mentions that Victor Hugo had preferred, in the first edition, not to have his name next to that of Shakespeare on the cover or the title, probably a reference to Hugo's "William Shakespeare."
