Edward Frederick Smyth Pigott, 1824-1895, journalist and connoisseur of theatre. In 1850-1860, he was one of the editors of the Leader, a socialist paper, and later was on the staff of the Daily News. A well-known figure in literary circles, Pigott was a lifelong friend of Wilkie Collins.
