Oral history interview with Robert Isler [sound recording] / interviewed by Howard Fredricks. 1968.

Isler discusses his emigration from Switzerland around 1900 and his resettlement in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He describes turn-of-the-century customs, his home on Grandad Bluff, his involvement in singing societies, and his work at the John A. Salzer Seed Company. He also mentions building a pop shanty that became Milt Isler's bluffside tavern, The Alpine.
