Iconographic Collection, 1848-2000 and n.d. (bulk 1960-2000).

Collection consists of photographs of meetings and events of significance to the J. Walter Thompson Company; photographs of officers and individuals who work or have worked for the company (including photographs taken for publicity purposes); and photographs of the exteriors and interiors of buildings housing J. Walter Thompson Company offices around the world. Acquired as part of the John W. Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising & Marketing History. The Corporate Events group documents meetings, seminars, programs, and retirements. Among the events are the opening of the JWT listing on the New York and London Stock Exchanges and the merger with Marti-Flores-Prieto. The Office Photographs group is divided into two series: United States and International. The Chicago and New York offices comprise the bulk of the United States photographs, and include many interior views of Chicago's Wrigley Building in the 1930's and 1958; interior views of 244 Madison Avenue (New York) from 1918; and views of both exterior details and executive offices in the Graybar Building (ca. 1930).
