ADS, 1834 February 6 : [Philadelphia, Pa.] / Edwin Walter.

Information extracted from the minutes of The Philadelphia Society for the Establishment and support of Charity Schools, the document, signed by the Society's secretary, deals with the acceptance by the Society of a schoolhouse, donated by Paul Beck, on the condition that it accept only children of white parents. The letter of intent to donate is quoted having originally been sent to the Society's president Philip Garrett.
