Unprocessed collection of business records kept by several generations of the Adams family at various offices in Boston, Mass. Includes account books, architectural drawings, deeds, estate appraisals, maps, nautical charts, real estate holdings, security transactions, tax records, and trust fund accounts relating to the Adams Memorial Society, Adams Temple and School Fund, Charles River School, Farm and Trades School, Massachusetts Historical Society, Commonwealth Ave. Trust, and the Riverbank Improvement Co. Also includes a series of correspondence regarding the posthumous award of the Pulitzer Prize for biography to Henry Adams for his Education of Henry Adams; and copyright extension. Corporations and trusts represented in the collection include the Francis Real Estate Trust, Adams Securities Co., and the Adams Real Estate Trust, which owned properties in various cities in Massachusetts as well as Kansas City (Mo.), Salt Lake City (Utah), Helena (Mont.), and Spokane (Wash.).
