H. W. Conard steamship pass collection 1911-1917.

Contains 47 2 1/2 in. x 4 in. cardstock passes issued by steamship companies for free travel on vessels. Passes were traded amongst steamship company officials, shippers and government officials until the practice was outlawed. Some passes feature ship engravings. Collection was culled from the Eldredge collection in 2000. Additional passes may be added as they are found in further cataloging of that collection.
