She asks if he was Glad to See Gorky and wishes she could have to offer her appreciation too. She completed the "libretto" and Mr.Boud is wrting the music.She is hoping Mrs. M and the family can come nd see her. She will let him and Mrs.M. Know?know about the progress.

California poet. Raised near Vacaville, became a schoolteacher in Coloma and later in Oakland. Became famous overnight with publication of "The Man with a Hoe," his protest against brutalization of labor, in "San Francisco Examiner" (January 15, 1899). Following this success Markham moved to New York where he scored another triumph with "Lincoln and Other Poems" (1901). He became a well-known reader of his own poems and lecturer of idealistic views, but his creative output for remainder of life ...
