Letters and clippings : to Frank Remley, 1946-1966.

A collection of 125 letters, mostly written by Jack Benny to Frank Remley, three to Mrs. Frank Remley, one to Irv Kupcinet (copy), four letters addressed to Jack and one letter from Helen Remley to Frank. For the most part, the letters are Jack's comments on articles clipped from Ripley's "Believe It Or Not!" Often times the original clipping accompanies the letter. Jack wrote hundreds of such letters to Remley. In them we discover Benny's humorous slant on the Ripley articles which, not infrequently, passes from the humorous to the risque. Along with the collection of letters are some 16 stand-alone clippings with manuscript notes by Benny.

141 items (in two archival boxes) ; 26 x 32 cm.
