The Artley Company worked on the Historic Savannah Foundation's 1972-76 restoration of the Scarborough house. This collection contains 9 files of building specifications for the restoration. There is also one file dealing with the Critz Buick Company of Savannah. It contains a 1951 bid from the Dixie Construction Company to the Critz Buick Company for paving a parking lot and a 1951 application from the Critz Buick Company to the U.S. government requesting permission to begin construction of a building for display and sale of automobiles. The collection also contains 30 pages of drawings of the William Scarbrough house and 4 pages of drawings fro the Critz Buick Company. The plans for the William Scarbrough house were created in 1974-1975 by the Coastal Heritage Corporation for use in the restoration of the Scarbrough house by the Historic Savannah Foundation. These plans contain elevations, floor plans, electrical plans, plumbing plans, and plans for an HVAC system. The plans for the Critz Buick Company's building at 3100 Montgomery Street contain electrical and floor plans. The plans were created in 1947, but the architect is unknown. The drawings are contained in three boxes. The first two boxes contain the drawings for the William Scarbrough house, and the last box contains the drawings for the Critz Buick Company. The boxes containing architectural drawings are noted as "VM" (visual materials) in the collection inventory.

William Scarbrough (1776-1848) was born in Pasquotank County, North Carolina on 18 February 1776. He was the son of William and Lucy Sawyer, a North Carolina shipbuilder and trader.
