Sound recording of interview concerning early Tucson lifestyles, statehood day celebrations, medical treatments, the Depression, Prohibition, Manny Drachman and the Elysian Grove, and more. He talks about his grandmother who was a healer and midwife, his growing up in Barrio Libre, membership in the Spanish American Democratic Club, customs and celebrations, a 1914 flood of the Santa Cruz River and his architecture work. He mentions working with Henry Jaastad and Josiah Joessler and the beginning of the Tucson Medical Center.

Biographical note: Architect and Tucson Mayor; Henry O. Jaastad came to Tucson in 1902 and opened an architecture practice after completing a course of study. In 1924, he was elected to the Tucson City Council for two terms; in 1933, he was elected Mayor and served for fourteen years.
