This collection consists of photocopies of four documents: "Report on the technical examiniation of the lands of the Allegheny Ore and Iron Co., Rockingham and Page Counties, VA, Massanutten Area" (L.D. Clark and A.C. Volkmar, 1912); "Development plan for the Massanutten Working Circle, George Washington National Forest, Virginia" (1940); "Revision of Lost River Working Circle, Shenandoah National Forest" (S.H. Marsh, A.A. Wood, 1924 for 1925-29 period); and "Development plan for Lost River Working Circle, George Washington National Forest, Virginia and West Virginia" (1939). These reports document the forest composition and condition of forest lands and local markets for forest products including tanbark and iron. Forest fire history and silvicultural practices are also documented.
