Southern Railway Company ledger, 1861-1866, 1899-1901.

The first part of this ledger dates from 1861-1866, and records the sale of corn, oats, hay, and other goods. Entries have been made chronologically, and all business appears to have been transacted in Selma, Ala. Ewing perhaps acted as an agent for local farmers in Selma, and arranged for the transport of their goods by rail to other locations. The second portion of this volume dates from 1899-1901, and contains records of legal cases brought against the Southern Railway Company for personal injury and loss of property. Formerly known as Anonymous ledger, 1861-1866.
