Poetical scraps from the time of Pope [manuscript], ca. 1700-1730.

A poetical miscellany containing epitaphs, epigrams, mottoes, inscriptions, etc. Of many marginal dates the latest is 1725. On leaf 3 the John Combe epitaph (the version given by N. Rowe, Shakespeare's Works, 1710, vol. I, p. xxxvi, from which the compiler may have derived it) is ascribed to Shakespeare. On leaf 8r is another, much debased version of the same.
