This addition to Nuechterlein's papers consists chiefly of his newspaper columns on United States foreign policy and letters to the editors together with book reviews, lecture notes and some correspondence. The collection contains a copy of his dissertation "The Icelandic defense problem, 1940-1956"; book announcements and proposals; newspaper columns, chiefly for the "Ann Arbor news," 1947-1949, and the Charlottesville "Daily Progress," 1996-2007; a report "National security strategy of the United States" for the White House; offprints and copies of numerous aritcles, 1964-1996; videodisk and transcript of Nuechterlein's June 2007 speech before the Beacon Club "The writing game: how and why does one write books?"
