William Bell Scott collection, 1837-1891.

Consists primarily of correspondence by Scott to Cosmo Monkhouse, with one letter by Scott to Charles Heaton, and four letters by Alice Boyd (Scott's mistress) to Monkhouse shortly after Scott's death. Furthermore, there are three manuscripts by Monkhouse (two transcriptions of Scott's poetry and an obituary draft), two manuscripts by an unknown hand (obituaries), and a printed announcement of Scott's death.
