Letter, 1931 January 26 : Hampstead to Brick Row Bookshop.

Letter from notorious forger and bibliographer Thomas J. Wise to the Brick Row Book Shop, one of the most famous antiquarian bookshops in America. Presumably written in response to the Book Shop's offer of the manuscript of Shelley's Oedipus Tyrannus, Wise corrects the shop's identification of the writer from Maria Gisborne to John Gisborne. He also expresses interest in a copy of George Henry Borrow's Targum in its original green wrappers.
