Photocopy of original notes and correspondence concerning the Poor/Poore family. First leaf is a 29 April 1999 letter from Bernice B. Gunderson of Long Beach, CA to Ed concerning a David Poore and Jane Martin. Leaves 2-4 is a letter 17 Nov 1936 from Louise Robinson of Burlington, VT to Mr Edward A. Poor concerning Lydia Poor. Leaves 5-9 is a letter 19 March 1936 from Mary (Poor) Webster of Walden, MA to Edward with Mary's recollections of members of the Poor family. Leaves 10-13 is a 7 Jan 1938 letter from Lee [Sherman] Chadwick of Cleveland, OH to his sister. Mr. Chadwick discuses family matters, climbing the Rocky Mountains, quotes Leigh Hanes' "Mountains", offers his opinions on the lazy nature of the unemployed and discusses the Depression. Mr. Chadwick writes that Washington needs to follow some plan of "Balanced Employment" outlined in his books of 1931 and 1930. Leaves 15-51 contain genealogical notes on Poor and allied families.
